SPS completes the first ESP system installation on board of barge GP-26
Two wells with 450 bdp potential per day were reactivated through electric submersible pump systems installation.
(Press SPS, 03-24-2018).- Southern Procurement Services (SPS) completed the first installation of two electric submersible pumping systems (ESP) in two wells located southeast in the Urdaneta field, in order to achieve the goal of increasing oil production in Latin America.
Both systems, built up of downhole sensors, ESP engines, seals, gas protector, feeding system through ESP cable protectors and others, were installed in UD526 Oil Well on board of GP-26 drilling barge, recently procured by SPS for offshore operations.
So it was notified by Ing. Miguel Acosta, SPS Field Service Supervisor in the electrosumergibles installation, he notified that after installations of equipment provided by SPS for artificial lifting, both wells will produce 450 bpd approx.
“It was a project finished in record time, done by highly qualified professionals, specialized in ESP system installation and well services. We are very happy with this activity, we have a good working team since we know each other, we help each other and this pushes us to exceed our client’s expectations.” Acosta said.
